On September 15, 2025, the Chey Institute, the Korea Foundation for Advanced Studies, and Krafton co-hosted a special lecture by DJ Seo (President and COO, Neuralink). Neuralink, a startup developing brain-computer interface (BCI) implants, was founded in 2016 by Elon Musk and a team of engineers. Dr. Seo, one of the co-founders, has been spearheading tech development and operations. During the lecture, he shared transformative stories of patients who have participated in clinical trials for these implants. By utilizing this state-of-the-art technology, individuals with paralysis, vision loss, or speech impairment are being empowered to regain independence and explore new possibilities. His personal journey as a tech entrepreneur deeply inspired the 180 undergraduate and graduate students in attendance. The Q&A session was moderated by Jeong Jaeseung (Professor, KAIST).
