The Chey Institute for Advanced Studies seeks to identify GEOPOLITICAL RISKS that
threaten regional and global stability, explore the challenges and opportunities posed
by SCIENTIFIC INNOVATION on the entire spectrum of our society, and investigate
the impact of scientific and technological innovation on geopolitical dynamics.

and continues to facilitate the growth of the intellectual community and help the public thrive in this era

The Chey Institute's focus on geopolitical risks encompasses various topics ranging from
traditional security issues such as US-China strategic rivalry and North Korea's nuclear
and missile development program to new frontier agendas, including emerging technologies and public health.

these technologies could exacerbate existing geopolitical tensions in Northeast Asia and beyond.
In light of these risks. The Chey Institute is working to provide objective and accurate information to the public
and policymakers so that they could better understand the risks that scientific innovation poses to geopolitics.
