The security environment surrounding Korea and Japan has significantly deteriorated amidst intensifying U.S.-China rivalry, Ukraine War, and North Korea’s nuclear threat. In light of growing attempts to improve Korea-Japan relations under the new leaderships in the two countries, the Chey Institute for Advanced Studies co-hosted a conference with East Asia Institute and Genron NPO to discuss North Korea's nuclear threat and Korea-Japan security cooperation.
