학술원은 2020년 9월 24-25일 美 싱크탱크인 Center for Strategic and International Studies(CSIS)와 공동으로 CSIS-CHEY 비공개 온라인 워크샵을 개최했다. 국내외 전문가 약 40명을 모시고 "Geopolitical Implications of Scientific Innovation Trends in Northeast Asia"를 대주제로, 인공지능, 무인기술, 사이버보안과 우주기술이 지정학 리스크에 미치는 영향과 동북아 내 기술협력을 논의했다.
